Susan Lin is a highly qualified pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Rhodes University. With a rich and diverse career spanning over two decades in the healthcare industry, Susan has established herself as a leading expert in health policy, pharmaceutical management, and public health systems.
Susan's career began in the public sector, where she honed her skills in clinical practice. Her passion for healthcare led her to the Managed Care industry, where she took on increasingly senior roles, including Executive Manager: Medicines Risk & Electronic Benefit Management and Senior Manager: Health Policy Development. In these roles, Susan was instrumental in designing and implementing clinically sound, cost-effective healthcare policies and managing extensive portfolios that impacted millions of lives.
Currently, as a Senior Analyst and Public Health Advisor at PATH, Susan focuses on critical areas such as health research and development, manufacturing, regulatory harmonization, and health systems strengthening. Her work involves tracking and analyzing policy trends, conducting in-depth research, and advising on Africa’s manufacturing and health R&D. Susan is deeply involved in pandemic preparedness and health security initiatives, offering strategic insights to policymakers and stakeholders across South Africa and the broader African region.
