Ali Khalid Mahamud is an expert in health technology management and product development in the non-profit and commercial healthcare sector. He trained as a biomedical engineer with a degree in Bachelor of Technology from the University of Nairobi.Â
Ali is the Director of Technology at Hatch Technologies, a non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the way maternal and newborn care devices are distributed and supported for sustainable, high-impact usage.

At Hatch, Ali is instrumental in advancing healthcare in low-resource settings through innovative product development, distribution, and technical support to make these technologies, affordable, accessible, and functional. Â
Before his tenure at Hatch, Ali played a crucial role in establishing a new multinational medical equipment company in Kenya and implementing several high-profile greenfield and brownfield hospital projects in Africa.Â
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Health Promotion from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Ali continues to enhance his expertise, committed to driving equitable healthcare solutions across Africa.
