Maryanne Muriuki
Maryanne Muriuki is an accomplished entrepreneur, biomedical & mechanical engineer, and seasoned leader with a rich background in driving innovation and growth across multiple industries. With expertise spanning operations, manufacturing, quality and engineering R&D, she has made significant contributions to product development in healthcare and consumer goods.Â
Maryanne has a strong foundation in engineering research and development in healthcare having contributed to cutting-edge projects in medical device innovation at Cambridge Polymer Group and Johnson & Johnson in the US. In Kenya she has primarily worked in the manufacturing space where she has been the Head of Operations at both Moko and RitePak where she has been in charge of the driving growth in operations, logistics and manufacturing. She has also founded a furniture manufacturing company that provides boutique furniture for the growing middle class. She has shown her commitment to education working as a part-time lecturer at Kenyatta University in biomedical engineering department.Â
She currently serves as the Education Coordinator for the Impact Invention Master's Program at Kenyatta University where she’s working on a Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering that is at the intersection of entrepreneurship, academia and industry. She also consults for United Nations Office for Project Services a Biomedical Engineer where provides engineering support for medical equipment.
Maryanne holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, with a focus on product design and manufacturing systems. Beyond her professional endeavors, Maryanne actively engages in mentorship programs and professional bodies, further contributing to her industry expertise and network.
