Dr. Matiko Riro

Matiko Riro is a medical doctor and a health economist, working with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) as the Associate Director, Health Financing. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Matiko is leading technical support to governments in Sub-Saharan Africa in health financing reforms as well as strategic partnerships with regional institutions to enhance knowledge exchange across the continent. He is also playing a critical role in institutionalizing health technology assessment and value-based care in the region.
